Since they joined in September 2006 the Trust has received over 60 items through the site, including everything from computers, peripherals, art supplies and sporting equipment.

“There’s just all sorts of random things. We’ve had art supplies and craft supplies and things like that which really eat into your budget, and because we don’t make any money on the courses every cent counts. We got a pool table and a table tennis table which is now down at the community centre.”

Maungarei Trust have also taken advantage of the “Needs” feature, which allows them to put up a “Wish List” of sorts. “We got some cardboard inner tubes which the kids used to make periscopes and kaleidoscopes,” Tracy adds. But it is not just the receiving which appeals to Tracy, they are also donors, believing that giving is a part they can also play. “It’s long overdue. I think all schools and NFPs should be a part of it. We are actually stockpiling stuff to put back out. It’s fantastic. It really, really is.”
