How to support DonateNZ

Support our cause and you're helping get more people to the site to support thousands of hard-working community organisations nationwide. 

Here's a list of some simple things you can do to help and be part the DonateNZ movement: 

The most important of these to us at the moment is to ask that you vote for us as Best Community Site in this years Netguide Awards here http://www.netguide.co.nz/webawards. This kind of coverage and recognition you just can't pay for and we need your help to achieve it! Thanking you in advance.

Aside from the awards, the most obvious ways to help, is to utilise the site itself in the following ways

• Donate stuff to Recipients
  By listing it in the Offers, this makes it available for all Recipients to accept. If they do this, they will contact you directly to arrange collection.
• Donate time to Recipients
  Do you have a little spare time you could donate to a local organisation? Any bit of help is appreciated.
• Donate tickets or vouchers to Recipients
  If you have a skill, you could donate this in the form of a voucher which can be rewarded as a prize, like Roses Are Red is here
• Offer a discount to Recipients
  This allows you to support your community as well as bringing new customers to your business
• Answer a Wish
  Community organisations let you know what they're after in the Wishes area. Perhaps it's something you can help with
• Sign up for Email updates
  Located on the right hand side toolbar throughout the site, this is a weekly service which will let you know of new wishes in your area

Remember, "Don't dump it, donate it!". Other ways you can support the DonateNZ movement are:

• Sponsor us on GiveaLittle
  We're a registered charity and will gratefully accept any contributions you wish to make to help keep this site alive
• Recommend us to your friends, family and collegues
  The best way people find out about us is by word of mouth. If you like what we're doing - let others know individuals and business know
• Promote us
  If you regularly communicate with members or customers, include a piece about DonateNZ to encourage others to use the site?
  Or why not answer our wish for helpers to distribute pamphlets?
• Write about us
  If you are involved in the media or write a blog, why not do a feature on us?
• Get Recipients signed up
  If you are part of a School, ECE or Not-For-Profit organisation, prompt them to register for their free Recipient account
• Give us your Feedback
  We are looking for more people's testimonials to build our feedback area. If you are happy to be featured in this area, please contact us
• Follow us
  Become a Facebook fan or follow Claire on Twitter here or follow our Wishes Twitter feed here
• Partner with us
  We're looking for corporate partners to align themselves with our environmentally sustainable initiative. If your business is interested, please contact us
