Update March 2012

Hi all,

It has been a while since we updated you.

Since DonateNZ registered and encorporated the Donate Charitable Trust to manage this site and seek funding to expand the website and its charitable cause, significant funding has not been forthcoming from the funding sector for us to develop further.

Therefore, while we are keeping the website running in its current situation;we have had to cut costs heavily, the site is staffed part time by voluntary labour and there are no plans to expand growth of the website and concept at this stage.

The reality is that the DonateNZ venture has cost its Trustees heavily personally to set up and after years of working fulltime on the concept, it has been a financial reality that other avenues had to be pursued in order to stay afloat and put food on the table so to speak.

This isn't the future we envisaged for DonateNZ, but the reality is, there is only so long that this concept can stay afloat on the charity of one family; more backing from the local community and government are needed. We will keep doing our best as long as we can. Please get in touch if you want to help change the current gameplan (or lack of it).
