How to Donate

Our service allows any New Zealander to research and donate to deserving community organisations throughout the country. The site works as a match maker, putting people who have something they want to give away, in contact with someone that does. With goods donations, in most cases the receiving organisation will come and collect the items directly from the Donor.

Donor membership is available to anyone in New Zealand absolutely free DonorsSmall

Recipients membership is also free RecipientsSmall
All Recipients must be from a verified, Not-for-profit, School, Early Childhood Centre or community organisation. Their authenticity is obtained before activating their account.

There are two main regions of the website, through which you can make offers on DonateNZ :

  • Wishes – Contains requests for donations of goods and time from Recipients. It may even be a request for something you have lying round in your garage and would happily part with. To answer a wish, simply click “Fulfill Wish” along with the quantity you can supply and you will be provided with the Recipients contact details.
  • Offers – Where anyone can list offers of goods, time or discounts. Once a listing has been loaded onto the website, it is viewable in this area. Everyone can see the Offers, however only Recipients are able to accept the listing and gain the other party’s contact details.

EmailUpdateWeekly email updates keep you informed of what organisations in your area are asking for.  Sign up for these on the right hand tool bar. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.

Why DonateNZ? You get the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference to your community and the Recipient gets what they need, when they need it. Believe it or not, Recipients have sheds full with 'stuff' that they get given, which they do not need. However, they don’t want to discourage community support by refusing donations. DonateNZ gives both parties the control and support they need to ensure nothing goes to waste again.

So c'mon Kiwis, get behind DonateNZ.com.  One donation can make a difference.  It’s so easy and the rewards are so great!
