Making an Offer

Making an Offer on DonateNZ is a quick and simple listing process. But we understand getting used to a new system might be tricky at first! Think of it like a free Trade Me - you list what you have to offer, it displays on the website then the person who agrees to take it is supplied with your contact details. Then you liase about delivery between yourselves. Voila!

There are three types of Offers you can make:

  • Stuff – not using it anymore? Gift it to a local organization who will
  • Time – volunteer your services available to a local organisations, for a short time or a long time
  • Discounts – Give local organisations a “hand up” by letting them shop with a purchasing discount at your business

Here are a few handy hints for making on Offer. The most important points to remember:

  • Be as descriptive as possible to ensure the best match is found
  • Fill in every field with a * next to it
  • Error message prompts show in RED at the top of the page and underneath the relevant field
  • You WILL receive a confirmation page once listing is accepted

Whats a Warm Fuzzy?

Warm Fuzzies are inspired by that great feeling you do something good for someone else. Our Recipients are very grateful for any donations they receive, and in return will send you Warm Fuzzies through our site as a personalised thank-you! Quite often these will detail how they're using the donation to benefit their organisation.

Some examples of previous Warm Fuzzies sent back to Donors are...

  • Thank you so much for the timber offcuts our carpentry area is very well stocked at the moment!
  • We have been able to set up a small IT area in our centre and the computer is very popular. Thank you!
  • The film cannisters will be used in the art and craft and carpentry areas. We even used one to catch a spider in this morning to put on our science and nature table. Thank you!
